As long time readers will know, I love me some Collectif, especially the Dolores Doll dress. In total I have owned about 20 of the pretties ranging in sizes 14-18. The generous bust section does allow me to squeeze into sizes smaller than I am, and at the recent London Edge tradeshow I was able to squidge my slightly smaller body into a 12 in one of their delicious new styles – a pineapple print Dolores Doll!
The new print will be available in a few months time, and it’s a perfect summery dress. The pineapple pattern isn’t too overwhelming, and it’s a lovely coral shade. I love the Dolores dresses because they are so easy to dress up or down depending on where you’re wearing them. They are roomy enough to fit a petticoat under them, and light enough to dry off in the summer sun if you wear them to a pool party or on the beach.
I chose to team the dress with some old M&S shoes, an eBay bargain belt and a garden of homemade and Accessorize hair flowers. Even though the dress has coral in it, my lack of pairing colours well means that I love how the red looks with it.
This dress and many others will be out in no time. Having seen the SS15 Collectif range I can safely say that it is worth the wait!
